Lighten Up With Barefoot

Press release 26rh March 2009

Stand out from the crowd this summer with a revolutionary type of sensory flooring inspired by Feng Shui, from the home of Floor Couture, Barefoot.

The luxury flooring company has unveiled its new collection, designed to create harmony in the home.

Pictured is Beaudeco, seamless terrazzo flooring that brings together the strength and style of the classical period, with a contemporary modern twist.

It contains recycled mirrors and glass to give added sparkle and reflectivity, which can reduce the need for lighting.

The surrounding finish on the photograph is Barefoot’s Hot Rocks, a therapeutic floor, which creates a unique foot massaging stone carpet effect. Both Beaudeco and Hot Rocks can include underfloor heating for the ultimate feel-good factor underfoot.

Andrea Hall, Barefoot’s senior designer said:

“Our floors have been designed to encourage people in the UK to ‘lose their shoes’ and enjoy a healthy barefoot approach. They are inspired by the eastern art of Feng Shui, to be harmonious and supporting life in a productive way.  In broad terms, Feng Shui is a study of how people interact with their environment - and Barefoot’s floors help people have a sense of well-being and contentment in their home.”

Features include the addition of the natural purification element silver, for optimum cleanliness, combined with a sealed, seamless surface that requires no grouting.

Barefoot floors also have no fibres, so potential problems with dust mites are eliminated.

A new multi-million pound showroom has recently been opened by Barefoot in Cheshire, as the dedicated home of Floor Couture. It is open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm from Monday 13th April.
